Peanut Butter Oats Bars with Pintful

When we say simple and easy, we mean it! These bars take less than 10 minutes to throw together, then toss them in the oven for 25-30 minutes, cut them up and your done!

What makes it so easy to make?

The fact that all you have to do is throw all the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. Then whisk it up and boom! Transfer the mixture to a pan and bake away.

So easy that it’s a great way to get children and the young one’s involved and give them a good way to get into cooking and eating healthy. On the plus side, these peanut butter bars will be sweet enough that they will love them, and probably eat some of the dough before you even put it in! So much healthier than cookies!

What makes these Peanut Butter Bars Healthy?

Although there is a good amount of carbohydrates in this recipe, it only uses natural ingredients to sweeten the bars. So no added pure sugar, preservatives, or other junk like most processed bars at the grocery store!

These 8 wholesome and natural ingredients include:

  • ½ cup Pintful creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup coconut oil, melted or at room temperature
  • ½ cup applesauce or smashed ripened banana
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups rolled oats, gluten free if needed

So although the fat content and carb content is rather high, you can see they come from great sources such as Pintful PB, coconut oil, honey, banana, and oats. All of which are great for having an all around healthy and balanced diet.

Peanut Butter Oat Bars Recipe

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Bars With Pintful PB

Prep Time: 5-10 minutes

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Pintful creamy peanut butter
  • ½ cup coconut oil, melted or at room temperature
  • ½ cup applesauce or smashed ripened banana
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 cups rolled oats, gluten-free if needed

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8×8 baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together peanut butter through vanilla extract. Add cinnamon and oats and stir to combine. Stir in chocolate chips or other extras if using.
  3. Pour mixture into prepared pan and smooth evenly with a spoon.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until edges are browned.
  5. Cool and cut into 16 squares.

Easy, simple and delicious! Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container on the shelf for a few days to enjoy all week long! Perfect for a pre-workout snack, or quick breakfast on the go.
